Legal
Privacy Policy
Levacy Law respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain language.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information you choose to provide. When you submit a consultation request, you may share your name, a phone number or email, a preferred contact method, a voicemail preference (on survivor-sensitive forms), and a brief message describing your situation. We do not require you to create an account, and you are not required to provide sensitive details to initiate contact.
Like most websites, this site also receives limited technical data automatically, such as browser type, approximate region, and pages visited. We use this only to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your consultation request and discuss whether we may be able to help.
- To communicate with you using the contact method you selected.
- To maintain records related to potential representation, where applicable.
- To improve the content, accessibility, and performance of this website.
Submitting a consultation request does not subscribe you to any marketing email or text list. We do not send promotional marketing messages through this site.
Survivor-Sensitive Pages
The Sexual Assault Civil Claims and Resources for Survivors pages include a discreet Quick Exit button that immediately navigates away to a neutral website. Quick Exit does not erase your browser history; you may wish to clear your browsing history separately.
The Resources for Survivors page lists independent organizations. Visiting those organizations does not notify Levacy Law, and we have no way of knowing which resources you choose to contact.
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses only essential and analytics-related cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Analytics information is aggregated and used solely to understand site usage and improve accessibility.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your information. We share it only as necessary to respond to your request, to maintain our records, or as required by law or applicable ethical rules governing attorneys in Texas. Third-party service providers that help operate this website (such as hosting and analytics) may receive limited technical data under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
Data Retention and Security
We retain consultation requests only as long as needed to respond and to maintain appropriate records, and we remove them in the ordinary course. While no system is perfectly secure, we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information submitted through this site.
Children
This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site. Resources for children and families are listed on the Resources for Survivors page for reference only.
Your Choices
You are not required to provide any information to use the public portions of this site. You may contact us to ask what information we hold from a consultation request, to correct it, or to ask that we delete it where we are not required by law or professional responsibility to retain it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
